  • Bikeausrüstung mit Rucksack

Hey Max, show us now!

How are you packing your biker backpack? Do you always know exactly what is where or do you usually do not know what you should take with you or even better, do not you have a backpack with you? Interesting questions: we asked Max if he could give us an overview of the contents of a backpack.

Biker backpacks are so many to choose from AND there are also different categories, where you do not always need the same backpack. Anyone who sets out for a short break will, of course, pack fewer things than if an Alpine Cross is on the program. But there is also a basic equipment that should not be missing in any bike backpack, this consists of change clothes, something to drink and food and a minimum set of tools and materials.

So, what do we put in our backpack?

Max is a great help to us, he has laid out all the things we need so we can see what we need. After a sweaty driveway, we should put on dry clothes for departure, change of clothes is important. A rain shower is in danger, should a rain jacket with on tour, a windbreaker is the least, we do not want to cool down. In order to surprise us on tour no “hunger attacks”, we pack cereal bars, energy gels as well as enough to drink. When the rucksack is prepared for this, we take a hydration pack on tour, so we drink constantly and take more liquid to us.

Tool, repair kit, spare hose, etc. are important components of every biker backpack, you never know what will get in the way of a tour and who has already pushed his bike home from the tour, knows what we are talking about. So, tire levers, a spare hose and a pump or air cartridge are essential – and then you should know how to change a hose, but at another time. A multitool should also be on tour, with which all the usual screws can be tightened. EXPERTS also carry a chain lock and a chain tool and a set of cable ties can never hurt. Those who play it safe, especially in foreign countries, also have a derailleur hanger in the backpack, this is for each bike specifically and can not get on the fly – a real fun killer, if this is missing!

Where to put all this?

Max shows us EVOC’s brand-new enduro backpack, where it’s best to store these things. This backpack is a novelty, it has an integrated back protector, which is perfectly ventilated – a great companion for demanding enduro tours on the flow trails of the Hochkönig region. But that’s not the point: the new EVOC Neo FR 16 basically has three compartments: the big main compartment comes with change and rain gear. In the same compartment, but in a separate department, the hydration bladder finds its place. Up in the lid compartment comes the sunglasses or various small parts that you want to have quick access.

The best part of the EVOC rucksacks is the waterproof compartment on the front, where everything has its place. Hose, mini-tool, tire lever, pump, cable ties, everything is stowed away perfectly and can be found very quickly in an emergency. Also, the hunger emergency plan is stowed there, cereal bars, energy gels or other goodies find their place in this field. Due to its waterproofness, this compartment is also recommended especially for your mobile phones, cameras or other parts that should not necessarily get wet.
