“It can go on forever!”
My first thoughts came when I was on the new Flow Trail ONE in Maria Alm with Bike Max. Due to the extensive slope and mountain railway construction work, this was newly created – AND HOW! Better, longer, sportier and flowiger at the same time.
After a comfortable driveway with the new Natrun gondola, we swing to the new mountain station in the saddles. What do I say mountain station, the new adventure center on Natrun is home to two mountain stations, a huge playground and the stylish and great TOMs Almhütte. BUT, we did not care about that day, we wanted to biking through the brand new Flow Trail ONE high above Maria Alm.
Two separate lines
After a few flowing meters with the best view over Maria Alm, the trail breaks off to the right and leads us into the mystical Pinzgauer forest. Not only is the trail divided here, but the ghosts are also different. The BLUE LINE is simple, flowing and extremely fluid to drive and is addressed with no technical difficulties to the whole family. In addition, the RED LINE looks like a Enduro paradise in a class of its own, which becomes immediately apparent after a few meters with a wild jump over rocks and roots. What follows after that is a real miracle ride through ripples, tight bends, over jumps, drops and obstacles, which brings the suspension of our bikes near the punch.
Left, right, up and down …
… and you continue in the direction of the valley through the forest of Maria Alm. In the lower area, the Flow Trail ONE follows its original course and the RED and BLUE Lines follow the same route again. There is a lot of flow to be expected – the name does not promise too much – anyone who keeps their hands off the brakes rolls over Northshores and scurries through wooden banked curves that make you forget about gravity. After about 3 km and over 300 meters of altitude, the fun is over and you are cruising across beautiful meadows in the direction of the valley. As the Flow Trail ONE spits us out at the valley station of the Natrun Gondola, one thing is for sure, we want to go back! So into the blue gondola and up to the mountain, you can not get enough of FLOW!
